Hello everybody! I'm very excited about this forum: nice to write you and thanks you all for give me your attention!
I' ve this problem: I want to delete a part of image from a slide(a fuji provia 100f 4X5"): I would make this portion of frame completely transparent, but I don't need to scan this photo. How can i do? I'm searching a solution, also reading on internet, but I could not find it!
Household bleach will completely strip the emulsion off the film base but is uncontrollable. Maybe a dupe double exposure with a "burn" slide to blank out the area you need to pure white.
You can try it doing some "Scraping" (forget the chemical reducers): You can buy a small knife (X-acto) or use a sewing needle, a small brush, cellophane tape, a magnifier, a light table, a piece of cardboard ... but I am afraid that you won't be able to purchase patience & experience doing it. Good luck and welcome to APUG!
