Delete slide

Hello everybody! I'm very excited about this forum: nice to write you and thanks you all for give me your attention!
I' ve this problem: I want to delete a part of image from a slide(a fuji provia 100f 4X5"): I would make this portion of frame completely transparent, but I don't need to scan this photo. How can i do? I'm searching a solution, also reading on internet, but I could not find it!

You could scratch/abrade the emulsion side of the slide to remove and make transparent a small part of the image.

This would have the advantage that you would see the result immediately, and you would not need to do further chemical treatment/washing etc.

Household bleach will completely strip the emulsion off the film base but is uncontrollable. Maybe a dupe double exposure with a "burn" slide to blank out the area you need to pure white.

Agree to making a dupe then mask off or be very careful with the bleach. I used qtips to remove the emulsionand did so slowly and with much much care.

You can try it doing some "Scraping" (forget the chemical reducers): You can buy a small knife (X-acto) or use a sewing needle, a small brush, cellophane tape, a magnifier, a light table, a piece of cardboard ... but I am afraid that you won't be able to purchase patience & experience doing it.
