Simon - This has probably been asked before and I have come across a few hints, but... Is there an easy way to decode the batch codes on Ilford paper in order to estimate it's "best before" date ?
The reason I ask is my local branch of J****** has a stack of boxes, many of which look decidedly vintage. Being able to tell which is new or old stock would be an advantage when haggling over the price. A couple of examples would be:
