End of the world, anyone wake up dead today?

You mean I put a fresh roll of film in the camera, purchased a good cigar, a pint of great scotch, loaded the shotgun and there is no big show to watch?

Anyone getting any good shots in today?

The world is not allowed to end before I've had my coffee.
After that, who knows?

Thank you for stimulating the economy, we'll need such help going forward.

The camera's a good idea; it's hard, showing things that haven't happened. (In fact, that would be a very good exercise. )

Pretty nice sunrise here in Austin, Tx this morning, will have to wait a couple of weeks to see the negs.

I realized that I hadn't printed up my entire 'By The Water' picture series yet, so I decided that was a good excuse to procrastinate with the end-of-the-world-thing.

Attached is a little snap I took this morning of my bathroom clock. At 5.12AM Central Standard Time was the actual winter solstice. I got up at 5.08AM to post that picture on Facebook, as possibly being the last posted picture there ever. But I was cheated out of its special fate, because at 5.13AM the ground was still reasonably firm under my feet. It was borderline disappointing.

It is a great day to be alive, just like all of them. I feel so good this morning I may go down and pick up a bit o scotch...wait a minute! I hate scotch! Scratch that idea. Oh well, a little Irish Coffee is a better idea anyhow.

What if it did end, and we just haven't noticed?

I have always enjoyed the idea in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe series -- the Restaurant at the End of the Universe (viewing the End nightly...).

Douglas Adams had a great mind - "The thing about space is that it is really big, I mean mind bogalingly big. You think a walk down to the chemist is a long way, but compared with space that's nothing."

Did anyone get a photo of the world coming to the end of days on Friday? Wondered what it looked like.

I missed it! I guess that now I have to wait for the next end of the world day.
