They have question marks, so they're guessing. Likely, Deardorff is the only large camera manufacturer's name they know.

Well, I agree, but I don't know anything about LF and that's why I suggested because I was close, I could eyeball if someone could use them.

Nice of you to offer, anyway. I have 19 8x10 holders and that's plenty for me. For what it's worth, I prefer wooden holders as most brands are lighter than more modern plastic holders. There are some exceptions, of course, as in everything! I hope the seller's idea of a "reasonable" price is in fact reasonable and someone takes advantage of this.

Around here, it seems people use Craigslist because they think they can get more than by selling on Ebay. I don't think that works very well: the supply of idiots with more money than they know what to do with is limited!

Yup.
I use craigslist only because I like touchy feeling. I've found great deals this way and I don't have to be wondering about the ebay sellers idea of "Mint" because ebay has been one big poo poo Pot lately.

btw... anyone have any 8x10 film holders that they could sell *cheap* ?

I know I'm asking a lot here, its just that my budget is REALLY tight, and I have a big 8x10 itch, that I really need to scratch .

4x5 ain't cuttin' the mustard, if you get what I'm feelin'.....

SO, what would a reasonable offer be for a very used, nonguaranteed light tight holder? This is a serious question.

Dan, make the guy an offer.

Film holder costs are next to nothing once you start putting film in them...

Call Jim at Midwest Photo Exchange. His prices on used wooden holders are very good, in my experience. I have half a dozen which came from him (couple of years ago.)
