I am pleased to announce that the Valley Photo Center will be presenting the work of David Prifti as part of a three-person exhibit from Feb 16 through March 19. The other two photographers are Frank Ward and Robert Aller. Both Frank and Robert teach photography locally at Holyoke Community College.

Gallery hours for the VPC are Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, or by special arrangement (VPC phone # 413-781-1553). There will be a reception for the photographers on Sunday Feb 21st from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

I am hoping that my fellow NE-APUG friends can make the reception on 2/21.

Please PM me for more info or directions to the VPC.

What a treat! After seeing David's work at the DeCordova museum last year, I've been itching to get more time with it. I'll definitely make every effort to be there, Gene. Thanks

BUMP!! Just want to keep this fresh in everyone's mind. I hope to see many of you NE-APUGers there.

exhibit

I've got it on the calendar, and hope to make it out there for this. Would be good to see the VPC crowd again, and would be great to see Prifti and his work.

hoping to be there also!!
Best, Peter

i have it on my calendar
fingers are crossed that nothing "comes up"
so i can vanish for a long while ...

The show is spectacular! Not only does David Prifti's wet-plate collodian work with high school students blow me away, but the landscapes and interiors of Frank Ward put me in another world (Siberia) and Bob Aller's shots of Newfoundland are pools of quiet beauty- even in an urban mall. Great show everyone... better get there while it's up.

Thanks for the good press Whitey.
If anyone is planning a weekend trip out to Springfield to see the exhibit, please PM me in advance as the VPC is not open Saturdays and Sundays. I am just a few minutes away from downtown Springfield and can meet people to see the show. But Saturdays are your best bet.
