If the IOC gave out medals for journalists, he should be donning the gold in my book. Love his aesthetic.

I've met Burnett a few times. He's a cool guy. I even shot a photo of him at his first book signing with my speed graphic!

(pushing tmax 100 to 800 because i was too poor at the time to afford more than one type of sheet film... wish i had the freezer i have now then)

I've met Burnett a few times. He's a cool guy. I even shot a photo of him at his first book signing with my speed graphic!

I had a chance to assist him here in Atlanta back in 2003, I think. He shot a ton of 4x5 Polaroid negs of some Olympic fencers. Wish I had made a photo of him at work for my memory book.

He had also recently acquired a Canon 10D, and I was proud to be able to show him a few details on its operations. :smile:
