Dating found unexposed film

I bought a box of stuff that included a bulk loader, and that included… mystery film. Stand developed in caffenol, I figured out it’s Plus-X which tells me it’s pre-2003 (?), but I’m curious if the edge markings give clues more specific than that.

Here’s a frame with the full edges of the film included:

This is really just curiosity - my experiments so far seem to indicate it’s happiest at about EI 50.

Kodak never printed anything like emulsion batch numbers or manufacturing dates on their 35mm film. Sometime in the '70s they would have changed from "Plus X Pan Film" to "Safety Film 5062" as you have.

The edge numbering you show is quite distinctive and different from my Plus-X from the last few batches.

Movie film came with a date code (things like Dots and boxes and triangles, in groups of three) but still film did not. the S'AFETY marking indicates USA made in Rochester NY. And yes, I have not seen the reverse print frame # scheme before.
