Data Chrome E-6 Processing

A sad update from Rochelle Burch at DataChrome in So Cal as apparently she has stopped E-6 processing. I'd been processing about every 2 weeks or so through her location for a few years now it was an update I received in an email directly from her this morning.... very sad as I was one very happy customer of DataChrome's E-6 processing services for 120 & 4x5........

Yes, as far as I know. Gosh, it's bad from my point of view, I cannot imagine how bad it is for her to have to close up shop. She was a pleasure to work with all the time.
She was nice enough in the email to recommend Pro Photo Connection in Irvine. She had contacted them apparently to give them a heads up. I've already made contact with them and I'll send a test load through them shortly. They seem to do everything there. I only shoot E-6 stuff.

They are great, and do quality E6 work their scans are good too if that is important to you. Only downside is that they have fed ex flat rate shipping for $10. They won't do USPS

GROAN......never use them after they delivered my new PC monitor to a door step a quarter mile away. Same numerical address, just two streets away and a completely different street name. Maybe they will do UPS then?

You could contact Rochelle directly and ask. I know her web site is still active. However, I'd sent her an email thanking her for some recent services I'd asked her to do, and it was a return email a week or so later stating she was sad to announce she was closing up shop. In fact, she also gave me a referral to another local area shop in Irvine in the return email. It was a sad note to say the lest.

Any other positive feed back from other E-6 shops in So Cal beyond Pro Photo Connection? Any North Coast and or Darkroom users for E-6? I think they're both lower O.C. county shops. Along with quality what about turn around times, shipping types.....etc.?
