What's the best way to repair a small crack in an 8X10 darkslide?

It is not a split, but a crack, as if something was pressed into it with too much pressure. It looks like it is probably still light tight, butalso looks like it may get worse if not addressed.

I have used black electrical tape as a temporary fix. On other occasions I have also used a thin coat of two-part epoxy on both sides of the crack.

That's what the ol' cannibal box is for! Just replace the dark slide with a good one.

I have no cannibal box for 8X10--it is new to me. Any donors are welcome.

I thought there was already a thread for this....thanks. I have some marine tex---which is slow-drying, but very durable. The sanding trick is a good idea.

Just to let anyone who needs the info know:

The marine-tex epoxy and sanding worked perfectly.
