Darkslide repair

What's the best way to repair a small crack in an 8X10 darkslide?:confused:

It is not a split, but a crack, as if something was pressed into it with too much pressure. It looks like it is probably still light tight, butalso looks like it may get worse if not addressed.

I have used black electrical tape as a temporary fix. On other occasions I have also used a thin coat of two-part epoxy on both sides of the crack.

I've already done the tape temporarily as well...I was thinking about the the epoxy too.. maybe I'll try it.

That's what the ol' cannibal box is for! Just replace the dark slide with a good one.

I thought there was already a thread for this....thanks. I have some marine tex---which is slow-drying, but very durable. The sanding trick is a good idea.

The marine-tex epoxy and sanding worked perfectly.
