Darkroom space in Montreal

Anybody knows where one can rent darkroom space in Montreal, Quebec, or in the general area?

I used to be able to go to the Université de Montréal darkroom, but it seems it's now exclusive to university students. A read about a place called Le trou noir, but they are not taking any new members. Anywhere else? I won't have access to my own darkroom for another year or so, and the negs are piling up. I need something that can let me print up to 4x5.

Can you take a course at the university?
The people there who you have interacted with in the past may be able to help with suggestions.

Thought about it, but between the full-time job, the family, taking photographs and developing films, and trying to get rid of my Covid belly, there just isn't that much time left...

Perhaps something fitness oriented?
 
Also, are you by chance an alumnus? That may give you access.
 
McGill used to have a darkroom open to non students, think it was $20 or something for a year. Group was called MUPS. I don’t know what the current status is.

I'll have to check Concordia also.

I met with them last summer. They were talking about moving from their old space to a new spot. Got a few follow-up mails in the fall, saying there were unexpected difficulties. Haven't heard from them since.

There used to be a darkroom at Bâtiment 7 — https://www.batiment7.org/chambre-noire/ —, but that one has also been out of function since Covid.

The only active one I found that is accessible to members of the community is the McGill University Photo Students Society darkroom: http://www.mupss.ca/

Haven't had time to check it out. Will try to do so this summer. Let me know if you do.
