Hi,

I will be going to http://www.wonderroot.org/ to print some already-processed film. Can you recommend paper, preferrably that's easily found (there are some photography stores in Atlanta, or Adorama.com)?

Thank you.

I can heartily recommend Adorama's house brand paper or Freestyle's Arista.EDU Ultra paper. Adorama's product is especially nice if you like neutral to cool toned paper. Arista.EDU Ultra paper is also very good if you prefer a paper that is a little shifted to the warm side. Both are good and excellent value for the money.

I would recommend Ilford Mutligrade papers as well as the other papers mentioned here, since Ilford papers would very likely be available at any local camera store that still sells darkroom supplies.

I recommend stocking up on the cheapest paper you can find. Then buy a few 25 sheet packs of some more expensive papers as you become more confident in your printing. Then decide which papers suit your purpose for the look you are going for.

Seems like a great place to have in your neighbourhood. Use it well, as not many have that luxury!

As to the paper, Ilford Multigrade RC (MGIV RC Deluxe) would probably be first choice and most widely available, but in reality, any paper will do... Paper choice is in my opinion not such a big deal as some people seem to make it. Just learn to use yours, or the one you can source easily locally or via internet if that is a choice...

Second the Arista EDU. It's cheap, warm, and you can do some neat stuff with it.
