Is there any way possible to override the dark slide lock on a GS1 120 film back. Last time I took the back off the camera, there was a piece of film wrapper band--the band that gets removed before the film is loaded-- jammed between the end of the slide and the slot where it seats? I have no idea how it got there. I would like to clean it out of the slot. Thanks

I don't have one in front of me (I'm at work), and it has been a while since I did it, but it can easily be done, though I forget exactly how.

There should be a pin on the surface of the film back that mates with the back of the camera. You can gently depress that and pull out the slide. I forget if it is sheathed, so you may need a paperclip or something.

Do it gently, and make sure you have the film removed first.

The GS-1 darkslide has a tiny notch on the bottom edge near the handle. There is a pin corresponding to the notch on the face of the film back. Push/hold the pin in, pull the slide. Voila.
