Dark dirty spots on negative... why?

Hi everyone, those are not air bubbles, all fresh chemicals. What do you think it is the cause? Maybe the film was old? Not my shots but from a client. Same issue on all the frames.

What make is the film, and is it 35mm or 120?

also, that is the positive, so those are not likely dirty spots but holes, scratches in the emulsion.

is a delta 100 on 135. i developed it together with another film which came out ok.

I had something like this on a roll of Delta 400 135 I printed from yesterday, only noticed on a single frame but may have been more. In my case these marks were only at one side of the negative.

My only guess is that the pics were shot long time ago and my client waited too long before processing. He confirmed is an old roll maybe more than 1 year since he shot/

Probably mold or fungus.

My negative is completely freshly exposed and processed so no issue there. Perhaps I saw something different.

A clean pic of the neg would tell you for sure, but it's surely emulsion damage, unless your film was scratched or dropped during loading.

This is why I stopped developing more than 1 roll at a time. If something goes wrong, 2 rolls of film are lost, not 1 (almost always), and if 1 is OK and another isn't, and this happens occasionally when we use a different camera for that other roll, it's difficult to diagnose the issue. You end up shooting yet another roll of film just to see what happens.
