I've always been torn over whether my Baby Graflex should be a view camera or a viewfinder camera. As a viewfinder it can be used hand held. But you have to set up the focus stop/lens combination carefully in advance. As a view camera you're stuck with a tripod, and really need to use a loupe and dark cloth. This all resulted in the Baby not getting the use it should.

While randomly surfing the web I ran across a viewer made for LCD screens. I won't mention the seller, but the price was low enough to give it a try. It attaches to the LCD with two rubber straps, which obviously wouldn't work with the ground glass. As luck would have it, the device slid right into the viewing hood. It fit a bit easier (but not as tightly) after snipping off the four lugs that hold the rubber straps.

The tripod is still pretty obligatory, but not having to fumble with the loupe and dark cloth makes a big diference.

A wire viewfinder and or a optical viewfinder with the right insert for the focal length of the lens works just fine and a whole lot cheaper.
