Dancing shadows of light

In England we are approaching that time of year when in late spring and early summer we have sunlight through trees that throws vivid dancing shadows through windows and onto the internal walls of our houses. This is a truly magical time, creating a cine film effect of abstract light. Is this effect universal throughout the world? And do any APUG people try to record it?

Had a dancing shadow on the wall of my shed -- used a roll of TMax400 in the Rolleicord on it a couple days ago.

Yes. I saw it all the time in Japan, and also here on the west coast of Canada. There are always some lovely ones doing their thing on the exterior walls of my darkroom (outside the house), that I've been meaning to capture... cloudy today, though.

I have no east or west facing windows. No dancing here.

Can anybody post a pic of these dancing shadows?
