Damaged Film Emulsion?

I have developed ~300 rolls of B&W in the last couple years with the Jobo CPE2. Last couple rolls I am experiencing some damages to the emulsion. I have started trying to use PermaWash (1 min water, 1 min PermaWash, 1 min 2x change of water) instead of the 10x change of water that I used to use. Can the PermaWash cause this kind of problem, or is it something else?

Thanks.

Could be you need to add some hardener to your fix. I processed thousands of rolls of APX 100 using Perma-Wash with no ill effects but specifically DID NOT put any hardener in the fixer as it wasn't required with that particular film. But.....a hardening fixer IS recommended for other types of film and in commercial labs where the films are treated rather roughly.

Of course, try running the same film again w/o the Perma-Wash.
