I have just found one of the above lenses for 50p, so I bought it out of curiosity. It is just a tiny lens in a barrel that is a push fit into a threaded brass outer mount. My guess is that it is a cine or projection lens. It is in good condition underneath all the dust. Does anyone know anything about the original purpose of this lens? Some variants seem to go for silly money, but those lenses are in mounts and may have stops or diaphragms. Has my 50p speculative investment paid off?

Thanks Ian. It is a projection lens then. Now all I need to work out what I am going to do with it!

I have I think 4 2" Dallmeyer cine projector lens (one might be a Wray I can't find it) all are16mm only, I'd guess a 1" is for 8mm. Mine are un-named although do say Dallmeyer and were on 16mm Debrie - exRAF projectors.

Don't try to find a half-*ssed use for it, offer it on eBay. And ebay.com, not ebay.co.uk 'cos the people who fancy Super Sixes are more likely to look on the US site. Even the tiny ones bring absurd money.

Thanks Dan; I will try eBay. I have had a play and it appears to me that it might be of interest to someone with one of the small sensor "mirrorless" digi cameras.
