I am relisting this lens that I had for sale a month ago here in this thread:
www.photrio.com
Unfortunately, right after this lens sold originally, I had my car broken into with one of my camera bags stolen and I lost all of my own lenses, film holders and meter. Therefore, I had to fully refund the original sale and hang onto this lens, as I was in the middle of a commission at that time. I have since been able to replace my stolen 305mm G Claron and I no longer need this 240mm. However, the 305mm lens that I purchased came in the Compur 1 shutter that you see mounted in this listing. This shutter does not have a 'T' setting, and as someone who mostly uses Fomapan films--with it's terrible reciprocity failure--my shutter speeds are often over 1min long. Therefore, I switched shutters so I have a 'T' setting to use.
With that said, there is a aperture correction factor of 1/3 between the 210, 240, 270, and 305 g claron. Luckily, this Compur shutter has 1/3 click stops so it's easy to figure out. There is more information on this factor in this thread:
I posted a photo showing the shutter corrections.
Another issue with this lens is that the 'B' setting doesn't mechanically work. However, it will still open and close, as if you are opening the preview switch. So Bulb will still work in a practical sense, it just doesn't work in a mechanical sense--if that makes sense. I will happily email a video of how the bulb setting works with a cable release. All of the other shutter speeds seems to be accurate--I can run through the shutter speeds in the same video that I show how bulb works.
The lens also has schneideritis in the rear element, that does not affect photo rendering.
With all of that said, this is a nice Dagor style lens in good condition. I have lowered the price to reflect the shutter issues. And I'm happy to answer any questions.

Sold - Schneider 240mm f9 G-Claron Copal 1 - Dagor type! - $375
I'm selling my beloved Dagor type 240mm G claron. This lens stopped down to f22 and beyond has great coverage on 8x10--stopped down to f64 the lens has plenty of movements--I've never run out of coverage photographing landscapes. The shutter is in perfect working condition. Glass is pretty...

G Claron 210/240 Copal 1 swap [Archive] - Large Format Photography Forum
I have a 210 G Claron in a Copal 1 shutter. I also have a 240 G Claron which I would like to mount in the same shutter. If I do this can I use the same aperture scale? i.e. do the apertures correspond in size between the two lenses? Or, do I have to get a scale specifically for the 240? Many...
