I just mixed up my first batch of D-96. I mixed 1L, and store it in room temperature on a black one liter plastic bottle. I do not plan to replenish it, just use it stock. How many films can i probably process with this litre bottle, and how long can i expect it to last if i dont reach that limit?

When you say "black bottle" it sounds like a low density polyethylene one. Such a container would be the worst possible choice for developers.

Capacity and shelf life are similar to those of D-76.

I've been using D-96 with Double X (Eastman 5222) for a couple of months now. I use a sealed plastic accordion bottle - it lasts at least a month without any loss of potency. I haven't tried it beyond that.
