For Sale Custom-made 6x6 circular fisheye camera (Pentax 17mm lens)

Custom made circular fisheye camera for 120 roll film. Comes with Pentax Fish-eye Takumar 17mm f4 lens, lens cap and cable release. The camera also has a bubble level and a fisheye viewfinder for framing the shot.

The Fish-eye Takumar gives a 180 degree view across the diagonal of 35mm film. So if you use it with larger film you can get a 43mm diameter circular fisheye image (i.e. 180 degrees horizontal, vertical, every direction).

The camera body is a Franka 6x6 folder with the lens and drop bed removed. The shutter is a Copal #1 press shutter (1 sec to 1/125, plus B) mounted behind the lens. Its opening is large enough to not vignette the image from the fisheye lens. In front of the shutter is a Pentax M-42 screw mount that the fisheye lens (or any other screw mount lens) mounts to. And of course, Pentax screw mount lenses can be used on almost any brand of SLR with an adapter.

This camera wasn't designed for looks but it works great and will give you some unique photos. More info here: Circular Fisheye Camera

(The fisheye photos were scanned with a flat bed scanner so they give you an idea of the angle of view but don't have the resolution or quality of the original slide.)

How about a little more motivation (for you or anyone)?

Dropping the price to $325 plus shipping and throwing in a bonus lens: SMC Takumar 35mm f3.5. This lens will give you a superwide but non-fisheye view on the film with some corner vignetting (~54mm circle versus 43mm from the fisheye lens).
You can see an example below scanned from a 3d slide I made. It's a cross-eye shot if you want to try to freeview it.

Bump for a price drop to $300 plus shipping, OBO.

KEH has the SMC version of this fisheye lens for $254 in Bargain condition and the 35/3.5 for $56 (also in BGN). Here you also get a one-of-a-kind camera to use them on, and save $10.

(The KEH Bargain fisheye is probably in better condition than mine so their lens could be worth spending more $$ on for some people.)
