I just got my hands on a very minty F3HP for a swingin' deal. I love the camera so far, but with the heavier ZF lenses that I have to use on it, my fingers cramp up on the chintzy nub. Does anyone make a small grip that screws onto the body? I can't find anything..

Something along the lines of this would be perfect (who knows who makes it):

Thanks in advance!

Get the MD4 Motor drive, that was the defacto grip for the F3. And if you cant find that smaller grip for sale, make one. There is a product called instamorph where you can fabricate plastic pieces quite easily by hand shaping/molding. I have created custom grips for my olympus cameras this way.

There were two manufacturers, both discontinued but I do see them on ebay every now and again. The last one I saw was maybe 5-weeks ago, don't know if it sold and it was on a F3 body. It was the USA metal version and I believe the manufacturer still exists but only make the grip for Leicas. If I find it I'll come back but it was simply called GMP metal grip.

There is mention of another manufacturer here....

The only other alternative is the motor with grip or to use a hand strap like the camdapter.com

But yes, carrying the F3 is like clutching a thin book all day.

Thanks for the leads! I've already got a couple F100's I used for paid work, but they're no fun with the manual focus zeiss stuff

I like the idea of instamorph...that might be my only option short of a leather case at this point.

The F3 ...hate it ...hate it ...hate it.
