What is the current market value for a fully functioning, relatively clean Olympus OM-1? Thinking of buying one, but idk what is a good price for a fully functioning, relatively clean Olympus OM-1.

If any of you guys have one and is willing to sell, please feel free to reach out.

Fair condition, some rate as C, KEH rates as bargin $70 to around $200 or excellent condition with 50,, 1.8 lens. An untested body on Shopgood.com might go for $40 to a $100.

OM-1, OM-1 MD or OM-1n?

The only issue with the OM-1 (and it is not that big) is the need for a mercury battery. If the meter works, you will likely have to use a Wein cell or some type of adapter. I think the OM-2 onwards did not require mercury batteries. When I was a young lad, I really wanted an OM-1 (or 2), but never got one. My dad did get one (I think OM-1) when I bought his SLR in 1975.

What are the differences?
They are all very similar. OM-1n adds support for dedicated flash and motor drive. I personally don't care about motor drives and dedicated flash units in 2022, so I mostly look for the best camera and the lowest price. The earliest cameras are labeled as "M-1" and these command a collector's premium. Leica complained, so the model designation was subsequently changed to "OM-1"
