I just came out of the dark, but while I was in there I developed a couple rolls of 120 in WD2D+ Pyro. When I went to set the bottle back in the cabinet I noticed about a teaspoon size glob of clear(I think) crystals on the bottom of the solution A. I did a web search, but didn't find much. Are they suppose to be there and how do you deal with them? The negatives look just great to me. JW

Yes, this came from Photographers Formulary and those are the ingredients on the label of battle A. This stuff is not fresh by no means, but seems to work just fine for me. I really have no idea how long the crystals have been there since I just noticed them tonight. I'm not going to worry about it, but was just curious how I might get them back into solution or even if I can. JW

How were the chemicals stored? I occasionally get them forming when I use RA4 (colour Print developer), when the place it is stored gets cold. Warm the bottle and they should gradually disappear.

My darkroom is on the main floor of my home and the temps never get below 64F and that would only be when I'm gone for a week or so. I'll still try warming in a water bath and see if it helps. JW

Just took the "A" bottle out of the hot water bath and slowly agitated it for 10 minutes. Looks like the crystals are now a permanent addition to the "A" developer. Oh well, it works just as good as ever and hopefully I won't get more buildup. JW
