Crying! Any recommendations?

I have three packages of Zone VI paper developers left. I am looking for a paper developer that will give me the same characteristics, including making the developer from scratch, ; and maybe a ratio of 1:3 dilution.

So what's so special about it, how does it differ from standards like D72/Dektol or Bromophen.

I use modified Ansco 103 (not a misprint, it's 103, not 130). I halve the amount of potassium bromide in 103 and and add 10 or 20 ml of 10% benzotriazole to the working solution. I like cold tones and strong blacks.
with Zone VI paper.

It gave very nice rich blacks and good separations of tone. Works best for graded papers and well for variable contrast papers. In addition, you got more chemistry use out of a gallon at 1:3 vs 1:2.

Rich in what way, Blue black, warm tones, good separation ?

I ask because it appears it's quite a standard print developer, somewhere between Dektol & Bromophen, and easy to make up something very similar, just altering the Bromide level for greater warmth, or dropping it as Anscojohn suggests and adding Benzotriazole for a colder effect.

Yes well I typed Benzotriazole, I think that's Firefox wanting Benzedrine now it wants Aminobenzoic
