Crossprosessing diafilm - URGENT

Hi everybody!

I'm about to shoot in couple of hours slide film in studio and I am going to develop it in C41. Should I overexpose or just shoot the ordinary way? I was so facsinated by JD Callows colours that I just have to try this

What film?

Some film needs overexposure and underdevelopment, others the opposite.

In my experience (but it depends very much on the film you use!) you need a bit of overexposure (at least 1/2 stop) to get the required detail, but you must be careful not to overexpose too much, because the oversaturated colours you crave so much will get less and less saturated with more exposure. But too little exposure will let your shadow detail go away.

I didn't use slidefilm because I didn't know how to shoot it (in studio today althought I had planned to do so). I bought two rolls of Fuji Provia 400 as I didn't know what would work the best. So Kodak would be better?

provia as in most of the fuji line, has a very limited latitude, blocks-up more quickly, and tends to have a strong green-yellow cast. If you have a magenta filter anything from 30cc-70cc use it use on camera. This will help push the film into a more printable range. These images were shot with provia 400 and they are very hard to print. The pier requires 3 seperate colour packs and burns.
