Almost exactly a year ago, I described here how I measured the shutter speeds of 8x11 Minox cameras using simple means. This was possible with a smartphone app in conjunction with a light sensor that I had purchased and adapted to the Minox specifications. The results were accurate and reliable.
Nevertheless, I was still not satisfied with this method. I wanted a standalone device that would measure and display the shutter speeds of Minox cameras practically automatically. I had to make the device myself, fortunately with the help of a friend who is an electronics professional.
First prototype
It now works, and I have written a short article about it here:

A Minox shutter speed test device
Testing the shutter speeds of Minox cameras is quick and easy with a special device. This device was built inexpensively as a DIY project.
