Almost exactly a year ago, I described here how I measured the shutter speeds of 8x11 Minox cameras using simple means. This was possible with a smartphone app in conjunction with a light sensor that I had purchased and adapted to the Minox specifications. The results were accurate and reliable.


Nevertheless, I was still not satisfied with this method. I wanted a standalone device that would measure and display the shutter speeds of Minox cameras practically automatically. I had to make the device myself, fortunately with the help of a friend who is an electronics professional.
