It's a fine lens for landscapes, kind of long for portraits but certainly do-able. It's extremely sharp if that's what you're after.
One of my favorites for 8x10. The Red Dot is single coated, IIRC.
It's a process lens but (american) Goerz said "Designed to meet the special requirements of the photoengraver for color separation and black and white reproduction of flat surface designs. Also suitable for photography of outdoor scenes, architectures, furniture and other large objects." https://www.cameraeccentric.com/static/img/pdfs/goerz_3.pdf
It's a dialyte so it should be sharp already at the widest aperture.
Very nice lens, suited for a variety of applications. These were used on Robertson process cameras, and others. I have one, in a Packard shutter for an 11x14 Deardorff commercial camera. I rarely use it, but it's a terrific lens. You need quite a bit of bellows extension up close.
Hmm ok, thanks . So it will no be very good for my purpose !!!
What do you suggest to me for portrait ?? I already have a 360mm and also the Heliar U 300mm, but a friend to me told me to try de 480 mm for portrait !!!
