For anyone interested I’ve been putting these self-sticking webcam covers with flip-up lids on my BHF (and other cameras, like the duaflex pictured) to cover the red window. They fit perfectly over the Brownie Hawkeye’s window and don’t look DIY either!

Yes, but covers your ass regarding light leaks Ordered some on Ebay as Amazon won't deliver this in Europe.

I think it's fitting, since you open it for number 1 and number 2 .... but also numbers 3, 4, 5.....

Thanks for the tip! I bought 4 of them. Stuck one on a Duaflex IV and it works fairly well.

If I were to make these specifically for this purpose, I'd like it to be a little shallower and also snap shut.

But all-in-all a nice solve.
