I got some targets from Wolf Faust for calibrating Vuescan but I have no instructions. Could someone please give me a step by step on how to do this. Assume I have very little knowledge in this process

Thanks,
Tim

This is a little too vague- I have a cd that has files on it and am not sure what to do with them. Or where to save the scanned target file, or what to do with it either. Do I save the target scan into the file on the cd somewhere and then use that amalgamation as my profile .icc file?

Did you check the help files in VueScan? They cover almost everything about calibrating a scanner with an IT8 target.

Hope you got the calibration working?

One thing to watch out for that the help files don't warn you about is creating a Film and Scanner ICC profile and having both active at the same time. If you do this you screw up the colour management. Best to just set the ICC profile for film and leave the scanner profile as "Built in".

I have a free PDF download on my website describing the calbiration process in case it helps:
