Correct Meter Reading

How do i know if my light meter is reading correctly? How should i adjust?

I have a gossen lunasix 3 powered with zinc air batteries.

Check it against another meter known to be accurate.

Or, check it against the "Sunny 16 rule".

Or, shoot some slide film and judge the results.

Test for a correct EI with your meter. Then as long as your meter remains consistent use the EI you determine. Then it doesn't matter if it reads the same as another one.
