No trying to provoke a political discussion, by citing history, but we can see very well for ourselves, a minor version of what you reflect on, in modern terms, but both, ANTIFA, and other 'hate mongols' already present us a glimpse into what could happen, as they use the very tools you mention.

Since we refer to data collection and distribution, as 'Media', or A/V, should we also consider what the Greek and Latin Scholars, would have contributed to naming those formats or insterments?

By the way, cool etymology explanation!

Not only the National Socialist (the abbreviation Nazi tends to cloud its socialist character) but also the Communist socialist had their paramilitary groups in Germany at that time that engaged in street fights against each other. Uniforms seem to have been a political fashion during turbulent prewar period, from China and Japan in Asia to Germany, Italy and Spain in Europe. For a brief period, Communist youth groups in California even had uniforms. Among wartime leaders, Stalin and Churchill seemed to prefer military tunics while FDR and Chiang Kai-shek preferred capes.

Organized youth groups in that period were very much alike in appearance. Including even groups based on religion.
