Copy/paste histogram settings in Photoshop scanning interface

kylewilcox

Hello.

This is my first APUG post, and I believe I did my homework with the search tool to avoid posting something too redundant.

I'm trying to generate consistent scans for negatives of the same scene/exposure without writing down and manually entering all the histogram settings. This is especially problematic for color scans, where I also have to enter in the black, gray, and white values for RGB channels.

I'm using an Epson V750 flatbed scanner (with negative holders) with an older photoshop, I think PS 7. I can give more details if necessary. Essentially, I want to set the scan up the way I like it for one frame, then do the equivalent of "Control C" and "Control V" to paste those settings to other highlighted frames in the preview window. I think there is a way to do this, because I read someone's tutorial a long time ago who mentioned a shortcut key combination to copy settings - unfortunately, I have not been able to find it since.

Any advice, including somewhere else I should be looking for this info, would help me so much.

Thanks!
Kyle
