Ok, so I have a 135mm nikkor but would really like 150mm Apo rodenstock. The Rodenstock I am eyeing is in a sinar mount adn the Nikkor I have is in a copal 0. If the f-stops correspond, then is it possible to interchange the shutters? Are all copal 0 shutters the same depth and can they be interchangeable?

All Copal 0 shutters are the same (AFAIK).

BUT: The f-stop scales for a 135mm lens and a 150mm lens will be different!

In principle, yes, but be careful - modern lenses sometimes come with shim rings to get the cell spacing exactly right. The shims can be dainty little things - if you find yourself swapping cells, make sure you don't miss any shims, and that they go back in the right place.

I'd be much more comfortable just buying a lens already mounted properly in the shutter I want.

Methinks you're chasing silver bullets. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a neg made with the Nikkor or the Rodenstock. Make pictures with what you've got. (this from a guy who has 200 lenses  )

the difference in F.L. is 1/3 stop - right? So now your 5.6 position on your 135 becomes your 5.6-1/3 (sorry to not give you a precise decimal - I'm not so geeky - but you get the drift, right?)

If you get one - check the flange distances pre and post DB. SOME, to the best of my knowledge, require slight shimming on copal shutters - of course the lens mfrs do their level best to avoid extra parts where possible, as it just adds to the expense.
