Hi to everybody. I do have a Schneider Super-Angulon 58mm f/5.6 XL. I would like to know if is any Sinar recessed lensboard that would fit on this lens with a Copal for Wista #0. I have been trying B&H and other sources, but without any luck. Someone might know the answer, because right know I am completly lost. Thanks
There is no such thing as "Copal for Wista." A Copal #0 is a Copal #0, no matter what lensboard it's on. If you can find a Sinar recessed lensboard with a Copal #0 hole, then you can mount the lens on that lensboard.
Actually, there is. It's a special version of the Copal Press shutter made for Wista's Technical cameras. It uses a special cable linkage for the automatic opening and closing of the shutter (and stopping down to the working aperture) when inserting and removing film holders. Without this special linkage, it functions like a regular, self-cocking Copal Press shutter. Data at:
P.S. There's a little bit of info on the Wista for Copal shutters on the Wista web site, and they are listed on the B&H web site as a "special order" item.
