Coolscan 8000ed Firewire to imac 2010?

Hi, I just pulled out my old coolscan 8000 and I can't find the firewire cable.

I'm using a imac 2010 now which has a FireWire 800 port that supports IEEE 1394b.

Would this 1394b Firewire cable works with the vuescan?

Or Do I also need get the FireWire 400 to 800 Adapter

It will work fine with a 2010 iMac and vuescan. You'll need either an 800 cable with a 400 adaptor or find one that has an 800 on one end and a 400 on the other. I have a 2010 imac w/ vuescan connected to an 8000. I've used an 800 FW w/ adapter and I am currently using a hybrid fw cable.
