At the community darkroom I use, we have a Leitz Reprovit IIa. It's a beautiful piece of equipment, but it takes up a lot of space, and for many of our membership is not all that useful.
It would be a whole lot more useful if instead of the Leica M3 camera that came with the machine, we could interchangeably use a digital camera. Can anyone think of a camera that might be suitable? I know that you can get adapters from one camera to another quite easily, but the bigger issue in my mind is to have it match the focal plane of the M3. I'm not sure if that's going to be possible, without having someone like S.K Grimes or the gentleman at http://www.customphototools.com/ manufacture something.
The projection composition / focus system on the Reprovit is so fantastically good, I would like to be able to use it with the digital camera as well.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I'd love to hear them!
Thanks,
