You mean trashing your Aristo head and using only the housing?? I'd not do that. Realize that the head converted in the original post is an extremely obsolete item designed for 4 fluorescent lamps. It was NOT a COLD CATHODE head. The 4 lamps needed to run continuously and a shutter controlled the exposure.
