In another thread someone mentioned upgrading older Nikon lenses with a chip called a Dandelion. He pointed us to:

I just wanted to report that I did it, and it worked a treat. I have an 18mm 3.5 AI-S that my F6 and F100 didn't want to meter correctly so what the heck. I bought from a vendor in Belarus, so it took a couple weeks to arrive. This is the auction: https://www.ebay.com/itm/271955860934

As for programming, I had no issues. Took longer for the epoxy to dry than to get it programmed. I used a D7100.

The big deal here is that the F6 needs aperture information. Now it know max and min aperture, focal length, and it all works. Even the in focus indicator is correct. Really nice to be able to use this, I like the metering on the newer Nikons.
