Hello all-

We recently had a chat with photographer Elinor Carucci, who's name has been popping up in the news lately. She was just mentioned by TIME as having produced some of the best photojournalism of 2014!

We talked with Elinor, who is the juror of our Compé '15 as well as the keynote speaker for our ONWARD Summit, and she told us about her creative process during her projects. She also gave us her take on what makes a great photograph great, and she gave some advice to young emerging photographers.

Take a look at the post here: http://bit.ly/1IYprbR

Thank you for the interesting interview even though she shoots the evil medium

Her more recent work isn't nearly as compelling as her earlier work, which happens to have been done on film. I have a copy of the original printing of Mother, which was early enough in the run to have a major typo in a caption. Closer is much better, deeper, and more compelling work than Mother.
