Up for sale a Contax IIa black dial from 1951 and a 1938 Carl Zeiss 1.5 50mm Sonnar lens.

The camera is working very well, i used this camera on the weekends but i am not shooting with it lately, that's the reason i am selling it.

Condition, the contax is in fully working condition, the curtains are in almost new condition, the shutter speeds are dead accurate and the self timer is also working, the only thing i can mention is that the viewfinder has some dust inside not affecting anything but it could be clean in order to be perfect.
Some small signs on the camera, a small scratch here and there and the leatherette has some sigs as well and some bubbles on the camera back.

The lens i believe that is very rare, because it has a blue coating on the front element, something i never saw in late 30's sonnar.

The lens is in good condition, some very thin scratches on the back element and on the front as well, the aperture blades has some oil but they turn very smoothly, excellent performer this lens.

Here are some pics, i will post a few more tomorrow:

Preice: 300 euros plus PP and Shipping.

It wasn't uncommon in the 50s and maybe 60s to send quality uncoated lenses in to specialty shops to have them coated. Any coated German lenses in 1938 (if there were any) would probably be military production and branded accordingly..
