containment of Polaroid or 4x5" sheet film before removing from changing bag?

To me, the subject question seems simple but I can't seem to find a definite answer after googling. I'm going to be working with both/ either Polaroid instant and/or 4x5" b&w sheet film, mostly within a changing bag since I don't have a darkroom. What light tight container could I place the film into so that when the bag is opened, the film is not exposed and/or when I remove the film entirely? I was thinking something like a small tin that has a lid, but I don't know if this would be light tight enough. I'd like to keep it simple and cheap. Thank you, Alf

For the sheet film the easiest is a second film box. Except that when starting out you only have the box your unexposed film came in. If you post a request, there are likely a lot of folks who could send you an empty one.
Assuming you're doing your own processing, then an alternative would be to put the film into whatever daylight processing tank you will be using. If it's going to a lab, they may be able to supply an empty box.

For the Polaroid, the sheet films are contained in an opaque envelope and are processed in the light as they are removed from the holder. You need a special holder for this as well, manufactured by Polaroid.
Polaroid type pack films are not normally removed from the holder until they are used up.

You could until you have a second box use a second bag inside your iniatial box of sheet film. Just make sure you come up with a way to distinguish the 2 bags in the dark. Stick a piece of wiring tape on the bag or something like that.

You can wrap the film in aluminum foil. I did that once in a pinch. After you get an extra box things will be easier.

+1 a double wrap of aluminum foil is very light tight
