I found a simple book on quantum dynamics and read there photons removes electrons from the metal surface depending on the frequency of light source.

Shortly , UV light is the best.

Here is the diagram :

Does it work ?
What is your idea to make it work ?
Can electrons expose film ?

I think if the metal foil is too thin , top surface resonance will continue to other side. There are two effects and photoelectric effect is one of them , it relates to electric on the surface , other one relates to foil and electrons in space , AFAIK.

There are lots of quantum books at the market starting from alice in the quantum world to most complex one.

The interesting thing , sometimes very weak uv acts same as very strong uv.

Its what Einstein got his Noble prize for, the ideas from it are what spawned much of the technology of today including literally everything digital, quantum = digital.

This raises a more general question, can an electric current expose silver halide crystals? Is this answer known?
