Want to Buy Contact print frame for alternative process

Looking for a larger split back contact printing frame. Thinking about making one but thought I would see what was out there first. Looking for something 11x14 or larger

YOur best bet other than new is to attend a camera swap meet if there is one anywhere near you.
A classified ad stating desire to buy can also be fruitful.

There are several good ones around. I have an 11x14 from Bostick & Sullivan that I like very much. I have never used one larger than 11x14 but have read that you can have problems keeping things flat in large split back frames; that vacuum frames are recommended for large sizes.

The Kodak and Graflex are very good quality, I'd stay away from Premier.
Teh Kodak and Graflex are maple with mortise and tenoned corners, The Premier is some sort of orange stained softwood.

Another vote for either an antique (which will 99% likely need some inexpensive rehab work) or the ones Bostick & Sullivan sell. I've got two of theirs (11x14 and 16x20) and a hodge-podge of antiques (11x14, 12x20, 14x17) that all work nicely. The antiques I had to re-felt and in some cases re-hinge to get the back boards square and level. Nothing that 20 minutes and $20 at the hardware and crafts stores couldn't fix. Plus there's a cool factor to using a hundred year old contact frame to make alt-process prints.
