Connecting a Standard Timer to Devere 504

I recently acquired a Devere 504 with a Dichromat head and an RH Designs StopClock timer.

I have connected the timer and transformer as per the attached images. The power is connected to the transformer and 2 wires leave the transformer and connect to the StopClock (one for power and the other enlarger).

When power is turned on, the enlarger light stays on continuusly, so the timer is not having any effect.

Obviously something is not connected properly. Anyone else have a similar setup?

Can't offer direct solutions, but did you confirm the focus/lamp switch is wired the correct way round?

Simple stupid question are you switching the power on and focus off on the front.
Second question relates to my version which has the middle "box" plug in the back of the power supply coming from the timer but a separate female plug in the middle of the box with some writing to ensure the power to the timer goes here. Your box has a flat plain back; so the question. Is it possible you have the two plugs reversed going into the timer?

Actually I think I had the focus switch turned on, on the Tran-Stab, so I assume the timer is being bypassed? I'll check this tomorrow when I'm back in my darkroom.

I see on further viewing that the European model has separate male and female plugs in the back of the timer. Also note in this configuration the timer is only on when the enlarger power is on and the switch on the timer is also on. Thanks to you for making me see this; I have had my timer plugged into the wall for years.

Most likely, it's very easy to do by accident. Everyone with a De Vere has been there & done that...
