Confusion surround LeZot Camera Repair in Vermont

Hi All! Just wanted to offer some clarification about the confusingly similar names of these two businesses: LeZot Camera Repair and LeZot Camera Sales. They NOT the same business!

Regarding LeZot Camera Repair (now Complete Camera Center): The owner and technician, Vinny, started the business in 1978. He exclusively performs the repairs in-house. In 2003, he sold the retail portion of his business to a current employee. For about 10 years they operated side-by-side (Vinny had a repair window in the back of the shop). Eventually, Vinny moved his repair business to a new location.

Currently, the split-off business (LeZot Camera Sales) has unfortunately retained the legal right to the "LeZot" name. They advertise that they have 40+ years of experience, and repair cameras in-house. Neither of which are completely true (the owner, Jason, would have been ~12 years old in 1978). Thus, LeZot Camera Repair has re-branded to "Complete Camera Center"

Unfortunately, people have accidentally send their cameras to Lezot Camera Sales, and they subsequently were told by that business that they were dealing with LeZot Camera Repair (a blatant lie). I wanted to provide this clarification so that nobody has to experience this headache in the future.

I'm not, by any means, saying LeZot Camera Sales does not offer repairs. Just demystifying some the deceptive practices performed by the business.

Is that a lie? If they obtained the right to "LeZot" and they offer repair, the use of "LeZot Camera Repair" seems right, unless otherwise taken, what you indicated is not the case.

Sorry! "LeZot Camera Repair" was the official name of the original business, and this was retained after the sale. LeZot Camera Sales has told people that they are dealing with LeZot Camera Repair (NOT their legal business name) without clarifying that they are a separate business entity. Thank you for catching that.
