Cheap Sodium Hydroxide in UK
I thought it worth passing on for the benefit of UK members that the chain store Wilkinsons in the UK sells 98% w/w sodium hydroxide labelled 'caustic soda', meant for cleaning drains, in 500g containers for 1.35 GBP. I have used it to make Para-Rodinal without problems.
