There's no Copal #5 shutter, only 3 and 3S. You maybe thinking of Alpax, Shantel etc.

Actually I don't! Although I definitely wanna pick one of those up as well down the road. I just got the non commercial lens in for a decent price thanks to the shutter not functioning 100%. My main focus is for portraits/headshots with it so the 4.5 fits my needs better, at least until I can compare them both Sadly the shutter is missing a cap on top and can only run at 1/50th, dont know if cause of the cap or I just need to do a full CLA, so I'll probably reach out to Carol/flutot for repair advice and maybe some spare parts (or get a new shutter if I cant get this one going )

Hmm. Ilex #5, tube length 1.060", threading 2.988" x 30 tpi.

Compound #5, tube length varies, 82.77 mm x 40 tpi.

They're not interchangeable.

Oh ty for pointing that out! Seems I got the sizing confused and was looking at 12” f4.8 soft focus which fits the ilex. Appreciate it!
