Communication problem with 3800 and QTR

I just loaded the QTR profile, and that seems to make the printer not communicate with CS4. I am using a mac/Leopard and have identified QTR gray as the driver in CS4 print regimen.
When I finally tell CS4 to print, after selecting paper, etc, I get an error message about communication error.

Any ideas?
